Abstract :
CoPt single/multilayered films doped with tungsten W and phosphorus P were electroplated from an acidic electrolyte is reported. Post-plating treatment of annealing in air at 320degC was carried out to assess the thermal stability of the films. The paper presents a method of fabricating thick CoPt-based films to overcome the limitation of thickness-induced deterioration in coercivity and thermal stability.
