Abstract
This paper presents the analysis of the use of similar transmission lines to represent a trunk of a little more than a half wavelength (HWL+) in order to conduct an on-site energization test. Some results of the possible reflections that may occur at the interconnection of similar lines are analyzed and also it is established boundary conditions of different transmission lines that can still represent a HWL+ trunk in order to enable similar tests within different power grid. The validation of the AC-Link Test formed by different transmission lines is performed through the analysis of two-port elements constants in the frequency range of interest. Time domain simulations are also presented to the studied trunk.
