Abstract :
A parametric surface directly interpolation method with a flat-end cutter has been presented in this paper. Distance between two adjacent CC paths has been calculated to facilitate the calculation of the increment of parameter. A CC path is interpolated to get a CC point, which is then transferred to CL data. Through adding post-process to the CNC system, the CL data is transformed into the control commands of 5-axis machine.
