Abstract :
Wafer factories have complex manufacturing process lines. In wafer process lines, different product type WIPs or different process phase WIPs or both may exist in same work center. Machines should choose next WIP by dispatching rules with recognizing that WIP has two-dimensional attributes, product type and process phase. This paper firstly shows significance of phase for dispatching rules and good performance of P3D, Product-mix dispatching rule. This research has its basis in them, improves P3D by considering Phase-mix dispatching.
