Abstract
A scheme of conflict resolution in modular control, motivated by an instance of the feature interaction problem, is developed. Conflicts are averted by introducing an appropriate interface between one of the conflicting modular supervisors and the plant, mediating information flow and control action. This interface suspends the modular supervisor when conflicts arise and reactivates it when appropriate. The scheme is applied to a feature interaction problem
