Abstract
Summary form only given. In 1993 Basistiy et al. doubled the frequency of the Laguerre-Gauss optical vortex. The parametric interactions in nonlinear crystals may provide an efficient way of vortex transformation. The nearly nondiffracting Bessel vortices are of special interest. We investigate type II phase-matched second harmonic (SH) generation of the Bessel vortex in KTP and LiNbO/sub 3/ crystals.
