Abstract
We have studied a bit-stuff coding system with feedback. By the application of these coders both the spectral and run-length constraints of an input constrained channel can be easily satisfied. Both the encoding and decoding use the same filter with memory and it can make the system susceptible to error propagation. It has been proved that the absolute convergence of the loop-filter coefficients is a necessary and sufficient condition of the limited error propagation. As an example we analyze a coding system with lowpass window-filter and supply closed formulas for the rate and the error propagation. Moreover the most important parameters of codes generated with some different loop filters are presented
