Abstract :
A frequency-doubled diode laser spectrometer in the blue spectral range has been developed based on a cavity-enhanced SHG method. The SHG output at 422 nm was applied for probing of a Ca atomic beam to investigate the modified velocity distribution when the beam was decelerated with a stilben-420 dye laser.
