  • Abstract
    This article presents Q factor optimization of spiral resonators used in chipless RFID tags as coding elements. Optimized resonators are used in a typical application; an array of different resonators tuned to be resonant at different frequencies is placed on top surface of a printable tag. Q factor of spiral resonator is carefully evaluated through full-wave simulations by commercial software HFSS v12. Q factor is optimized highly with variation of geometrical parameters of spiral resonators.
