Abstract
The problem under consideration is the linearization of nonlinear systems by input-output injection in order to design observers with linear error dynamics. The method is based on the analysis of the structure of the input-output differential equation. A necessary and sufficient condition and an algorithm using exterior differential systems give the linearizing state coordinates transformation, if it exists
