  • Abstract
Many PAPR reduction schemes for OFDM system can be implemented in time domain by oversampled(OS)-kernel-based iterative structure. In this paper, a new polyphase (PP)-kernels-based PAPR reduction scheme is proposed to reduce the complexity of OS-kernel-based PAPR reduction techniques. It divides oversampled-rate kernel into multiple 1x-rate kernels with different initial-phase and performs PAPR reduction process at 1x-rate instead of oversampled-rate. It is shown that the proposed PP-Kernel-based scheme can significantly reduce memory size requirement and processing delay (and the number of multipliers on large bandwidth) without any loss of PAPR reduction performance, compared with the OS-kernel-based scheme.
