  • Abstract
In this paper, we propose a channel adaptive multi-sources transmission (CA-MST) scheme in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). To minimize the frame-error-ratio (FER), the proposed scheme switch between the distributed space-time block code (D-STBC) scheme and cooperative network-assisted diversity multiple access (C-NDMA) scheme according to the channel quality. Under the given system model, we analyze the FER performance difference when the two schemes are adopted separately. Then we find the location of the relay where the system should change its cooperative scheme for the interests of minimized error rate. Numerical and simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme can obtain lower error rate wherever the relay locates.
