Abstract :
The gate rotor shaft is main part of single screw compressor. In order to analyze the properties of it the finite element analysis is applied. Firstly the static mechanics analysis is completed by ANSYS software. The results show that the strength and stiffness satisfy the safety require. Secondly the residual and bending stresses analysis is done based on finite element method. The rules of the maximum normal stress distributions in depth planes are obtained. The SWT equivalent stress distribution along the surface of the gate rotor shaft is simulated. Then model analysis for the gate rotor shaft is finished by ANSYS software. The fatigue life of gate rotor shaft under different rotation speed is calculated depending on numerical method.
