Abstract :
The aim of this paper is to propose a telecommunications network architecture, adaptable to existing rural communities in Mexico. The proposed network meets with regulatory and technical factors and the hierarchical elements of Next Generation Networks (NGN´s). The proposed architecture is flexible and adaptable to rural and under-served urban areas. Our proposal is consistent with the framework of the e-Mexico project created by the Mexican government to detonate and stimulate social and economic development in rural communities.
