Abstract :
The growing needs for pollution control and industrial irradiation processing have led to the development of high repetition rate pulsed power technology. In this paper, we briefly describe environmental and industrial applications of pulsed power technology at China Academy of Engineering Physics (CAEP). The early 90s is being extended to high average power short-pulse machines. However, for converting this technology to civil application, high average power, long life, reliability and high efficiency are necessary. In order to provide the design experience and component techniques for pulsed corona discharge, a project of the pilot plant as moderate scale is proposed.
