Abstract :
The wide spread of XML applications has presented significant need for XML security. W3C has specified the format for signed XML document or encrypted XML document, however, it cannot allow the programmer to specify how to encrypt and sign his or her XML documents. This paper describes a prototype of XML security for certificate management. The paper starts with a brief review of the research background; it then moves on to demonstrate the design and implementation of the proposed XML security system; and the paper concludes with a short working case study and performance evaluation to assess the design functions of the system.
