Abstract
This paper reviews recent work on routing optimization using OSPF, and identifies important areas where further research is needed. Routing optimization provides a means to balance the traffic load in the network with the goal to improve quality of service since we are interested in the following question: what is the issues and requirement arising in the routing optimization in the context of traffic engineering when there is the need to facilitate reliable network operations in the area of telecommunication industry?
