Abstract
An underwater acoustic communication system based on adaptive spatial diversity and equalization to combat multipath interference is presented. Its performance is demonstrated by using experimental data telemetered in a shallow water, short-range acoustic channel. The results indicate a comparable performance with coherent binary phase-shift keying (BPSK)
