Abstract
Artificial life is a simulated system of models generated by a computer or precise mechanism, the system can demonstrate behaviors and characteristics of natural living system. Here we are mainly concerned with the space model of cellular automata. Using evolution rules and transition functions, we construct a cellular automata with a self-propagation evolutionary, which is a general cellular automata of self-propagation with N sides (N=1,2,3,…). The divided state will occur at time=4·D(N)-N-8, where D(N)=5·N+15. When passing time=N+13, the next generation will be propagated. The above constructive method develops a small system for artificial self-replicating structures
