  • Abstract
The selection of medium access control protocol is a critical and pending issue for all-IP wireless network. MAC is classified as serial transmission MAC protocol and parallel transmission MAC protocol. A prioritized parallel transmission MAC (PPTM) protocol has been proposed for all-IP wireless network in our previous work. In this paper, we evaluate its performance in a simplified all-IP wireless wide area network and conclude that PPTM performs better than modified channel load sensing protocol (MCLSP) does.
