Abstract :
This paper proposes a successive 2-DE gel images compression method (S2DEGIC method). This method can compress a series of successive 2-DE gel images, which are taken from the same protein sample, and put the compression data into a file. The experimental results show that this method provides an impressive effect in memory space required for data compression. In addition, the format of the compression data facilitates multilevel searching.
