Abstract :
Under the pressure of global financial crisis and the tend of domestic industry transformation and upgrade, it is imperative for the Pearl River Delta as the birthplace of China´s processing trade to transform urgently for catching up with a competitive advantage. On the other hand, the academic research on transformation and upgrade of processing trade enterprises is drawing more and more people´s attention. However, the characteristics of the motives of transformation still lack of empirical or systematic discussion. This paper aims to explore the motives of processing trade enterprises transformation in the Pearl River Delta, understand and sequence the weight of each motive index by AHP method, in the hope of providing references for these enterprises and further enriching the theoretical research in the field of transformation and upgrade of processing trade enterprises.
