Abstract
The distribution system configuration can be modified using sectionalizing and tie-switches for minimizing system losses and to enhance the system performance. This will also improve the voltage profile of each node. This paper proposes a novel method for switching action for 16-node and 33-node radial distribution network for a single day via feeder reconfiguration. The paper also considers the static load model and at each node different categories of load is considered, which is more practical to the real distribution network.
