  • Abstract
In this paper, we present a new scheme for uplink SIMO CDMA/TDD transmission using Pre-RAKE diversity combining and new orthogonal spreading sequences at terminal, and simple space-time array receiver at base station. Adopting techniques such as so-called zero correlation duration (ZCD) code as spreading code, chip-level beamformer (CLB) array antenna configuration, and one single matched filter for detecting signals, the proposed SIMO system is shown to be practically feasible for nearly interference-free uplink communications with good hardware efficiency and highly enhanced receive SINR performance. System design architecture and average BER performance are presented for proof of technology.
