Abstract
In this paper, the design and performance analysis of a robust and inexpensive permanent magnet-assisted synchronous reluctance generator (PMa-SynRG) with its corresponding control topology is studied. More specifically, the topology based on vector control for the maximum output power of generator is investigated. The torque of PMa-SynRG is controlled by a combustion engine speed and the maximum power operating point is obtained by the maximum power control. In order to control the three-phase voltage source rectifier, the control system is being implemented on a TMS320F2812 digital signal processor board. Simulations results and experimental results verify the proposed system.
