Abstract
The XML-based e-business specifications are the main stream in B2B (business to business) field, and the ebXML (electronic business XML) specification is the most promising industry-defined XML schema. This paper addresses service-oriented business integration based on ebXML. It introduces the evolvement of ebXML and presents how ebXML technologies enable enterprises to collaborate at the business process level. In particular, it discusses data interchange from EDI (electronic data interchange) to ebXML in business processes. Some business requirements are also discussed including service-oriented computing, business process modeling, etc. Specifically, the business process modeling is described by modeling flow and message sequence. The recent implementations and the development trends are shown by two cases of official projects on the basis of ebXML
