Abstract
This paper demonstrates a modulation method for a spread spectrum communication system in which a relatively large pulse compression ratio is obtained for a narrow transmission bandwidth through the employment of surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices. We discuss system performance, and propose circuit configurations that include a modulator and 3 types of demodulator. We also show a basic experimental result which verifies the feasibility of the system
