Abstract :
This study proposes the optimal voltage and reactive power scheduling with synchronous machines in industrial power system (IPS). The aim is to determine optimum dispatch schedules for on-load tap changer (OLTC), distributed generator (DG) settings and large synchronous motors on the load and DG generation profile in a day. The proposed method minimizes the total operational cost (TOC) considering system active power losses and receiving power factor and improves the voltage profile using squared deviations of bus voltages. The simulation results indicate that the proposed method reduces the system active losses and voltage fluctuations and improve receiving power factor. In this paper, coordinated voltage and reactive power control method are proposed that adjust optimal control values of synchronous motors with constant power factor control, OLTC and AVR of DGs using dynamic programming (DP) with branch-and-bound (B&B) method. And finally we will show the effectiveness of the proposed method comparing to the before control using total operational costs and voltage deviation factor (VDF) as evaluation index. Eventually it could be attributed to reduce the total operational costs and improve the voltage profile in industrial power system for a whole day.
