  • Abstract
    A simple and cost effective LCD backlight inverter control technique with constant switching frequency, is developed and verified. The proposed control method including voltage mode control, feed-forward control and mixed dimming control (analog dimming+burst dimming). Very good input step response is obtained by adding input voltage feedforward to the feedback loop. This paper provides a useful mixed dimming control method, and this method broadens the dimming range. The validity of this paper is confirmed by an experimental 14.1 inch LCD backlight inverter system
