Quantifiers for data warehouse operations

Multidimensional model defines a structure which supports decision making. Even though it is well established that quantifiers provide enhanced capability for querying, these have not been considered in a multidimensional model. In this paper we define four quantifiers which can be used in conjunction with a condition and the roll up operation. We show that a single cube as well as a window consisting of several cubes can be analyzed using these quantifiers. As a result, we are able to provide enhanced support for decision making.
