Abstract :
COMIQS (Commerce with MPEG-4 on the Internet with Quality of Service) is a project within the EU ACTS (Advanced Communication Technologies and Services) program. COMIQS develops a complete networked multimedia system based on new standards coming from the Internet IETF, ISO MPEG and Web3D standardization bodies. COMIQS system is based on full MPEG-4 functionalities including video, audio and 3D graphics. Networking solution uses MPEG-4 DMIF (Delivery Multimedia Integration Framework) and the RTP/RTCP protocol´s for multimedia data developed by the IETF. COMIQS will integrate media server, network and terminal and will perform technical tests based on two applications in the area of commercial presentations
