Abstract
The authors have taken the performance evaluation of the ATM-Multiplexor in the B-ISDN using a simulation package, instead of a simulation language, to take its many advantages of simplifying the modeling process. Several examples demonstrate the usefulness of the model and give an insight into the cell stream´s burstiness and intensity, both of which are determinant for the QOS analysis
