An Improved Method about the Similarity Calculation of Ontology

Abstract :
Aiming at the current problems of Similarity calculation, we proposed an optimized method for measuring similarity between ontologies as a basis for the collaboration across various application fields. The different factors of ontology are considered. Semantic similarity, concept similarity and structural similarity are integrated to get the ontology similarity. During the similarity calculation of the concept attributes, filter strategy is used to reduce the number of concept attributes, and comprehensive similarity calculation method is given. This method can meliorate the problem, such as unilateralism and faultiness, in the traditional methods. Experiment indicates that this method is better than the Glue at Precision and Recall.
