Abstract :
Although Space Vector Modulation (SVM) method is a useful strategy in control of an induction motor, but with an unchangeable sampling time it fails to control the stator currents ripple and consequently the torque pulsation. Hence a hybrid strategy for current control of an induction motor, fed from a matrix converter is proposed in this paper. This strategy is basically a combination of SVM method and Hysteresis Current Controller (HCC). In this paper, the proposed method gives emphasis to achieving to advantages of both ways (SVM and HCC). The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation.
