Abstract :
A study on the inclusion of analytical redundancy and of an instrument transformer fault detection and tolerance has been performed for a substation integrated automation system. The analytical relationship of instrument transformers has been analyzed, and matrixes have been created to express it. The method used to detect the fault of instrument transformer has been illustrated, moreover, the tolerance of the instrument transformer fault has been illustrated also. A example case of electrical traction substation was performed to assess the method, and it was found that the method is able to both detect and tolerate the instrument transformer fault. The method doesn´t require any additional equipment. So it is simple to be achieved.
