Abstract :
A nonlinear circuit model for avalanche diode is described in high order frequency multiplication mode. Based on the physical mechanism of avalanche diode, this model interprets the nonlinear harmonics character of avalanche effects. The simulation of nonlinear model predicts the high order harmonics generation capabilities of avalanche diodes. This prediction has been demonstrated by experimental results.
