Abstract :
Taylor expansion is an efficient tool in SAR imaging, which makes it convenient to analyze the characteristics of the received signal and study imaging algorithms. This paper proves the feasibility of the application of Taylor expansion in SAR imaging, and so establishes the theoretical foundations for the application. Then, Taylor expansion is applied to analyze the signal characteristics of missile-borne SAR, and some useful conclusions are drawn, for example, the range walk should be corrected, the acceleration in quadratic term and the cubic term of the Taylor´s series should be compensated. At last, simulation results verify the correctness of the analysis.
