Abstract
A technique is proposed for unmixing the data of a lower resolution `measuring instrument´ by its combined processing with the data of a higher-resolution `classifying instrument´. It allows one to classify the data and to map the classes with the resolution of the classifying instrument and to retrieve the mean signatures of the classes, corresponding to the measurements by the measuring instrument. Applications of the technique are illustrated for various instrument combinations
