Abstract :
Our research project investigating the feasibility of ontology based information systems for supporting formal strategic planning processes is presented. The project should design an information system prototype that uses ontologies and related technologies and paradigms developed in the context of the semantic web to capture, store, and manage information generated during a strategic planning cycle. Ontologies and related technologies possess certain properties that are deemed beneficial for this task.
