Abstract :
This paper gives a complete and canonical structure for even length linear-phase two-band perfect-reconstruction (PR) filter banks. The algebraic approach used extends our previous work on odd length filter banks, thus leading to a complete characterization of two-band linear phase filter banks. A design method is also proposed which yields nearly equiripple filters
