Abstract :
In web-services compositions, in which a number of services is composed to create new value-added services, there can be failures of web services participating in the composition. In this work, two different repair actions on unsuccessful web services are considered, namely retry and substitution, and the impact of those repair actions has been analyzed from the business perspective. To analyze the impacts of these repair actions, we present a mathematical model for computing the economic value of the application. A tool based on this mathematical model has been implemented to give a comparative analysis of the repair actions.
