Abstract
Using multiple differential detectors improves the performance of the differentially detected trellis-coded PSK (phase-shift keying). To achieve further improvements without increasing the receiver complexity considerably, the noise correlation must be reduced. For this purpose, a simple interleaver at the transmitter is proposed which permits the use of multiple differential detectors at the receiver
