Abstract :
In this paper, a Hammerstein system is proposed to describe the rate-dependent hysteresis nonlinearity of a piezoelectric actuator. The MPI model is employed to represent the nonlinear block of this system. An identification method for the system is given. Based on this system, a PID feedback controller combined with an inverse compensation in the feed forward loop is proposed for tracking control. Simulation of tracking control shows that the control method is effective.
