Abstract :
The aim of this study is to obtain a control model for a system consisting of a synchronous machine connected to an infinite bus through a TCSC. This study follows upon previous work. The control modeling relies on the concept of Poincare map which allows one to obtain a discrete linear system. The control variables used for the system are the firing angles of the thyristors
