Abstract
Hardware and software have been designed and implemented for a universal computer interface to a TMS32010-based signal processing system for use in student experiments on digital signal processing. A standard serial data link allows file transfer between the host computer and the signal processor. Supporting software which includes a TMS320 cross-assembler and simulator, and a file loader have been written in the C language. A CVSD speech coder is also presented as an application example of this system.
