Abstract :
An automatically adapted 43Gbit/s receiver comprising a 5-tap feed-forward and a novel 1-tap decision-feedback equaliser (FFE/DFE) has been applied to mitigate chromatic dispersion and PMD. The 43Gbit/s system tolerance enhancement obtained by FFE/DFE is evaluated.
