Abstract
Global Area Coverage (GAG) measurements from the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) are being reprocessed as a part of the NOAA/NASA Pathfinder program using the best methods available. The data being processed spans over a period of 12 years, and the final product is superior to its precursor datasets. The salient features of the dataset are described along with the processing algorithms
