Abstract
Based on the database for Chinese enterprises´ M&As from CCMAR of Beijing Jiaotong University, we have collected and sorted out the trans-regional M&As cases from 2004 to 2010, and analyzed their influences on regional industry structure and regional economy growth. We conclude that M&A is a very important way to optimize the allocation of resources and upgrade the Industry structure. By trans-regional M&As, enterprise resources will be transferred between different regions, change the regional resource endowment, make the regional Industry development and upgrade the regional Industrial structure, then affect the regional economic structure, change the economic growth mode and spur the regional economic growth. We predict that M&A activity will be very active in the twelfth-five period, it will exhibit its important role in our country economic growth. We should try our best to make the law and political environment perfect in order to boost the trans-regional M&A development.
