Research on distributed virtual environment based on web

In this paper, a synthetic natural environment concerning topography, weather, hydrological geology and sound is introduced, and a kind of virtual reality where virtual environment is interrelated and linked together with real one is also described. System model of vehicle simulator is given and distributed virtual environment architecture is put forward. The paper also introduces object management module, event management module and protocol process module in the client, resource management module, scene management module, time management module, consistent management module in the server, which is significant to the construction of distributed virtual environment.
