  • Abstract
The polynomial approximation is a very important procedure in many applications. Exploiting the connection between wavelets and polynomials and the abilities of the discrete wavelet transform, in this paper is proposed a new method for the accurate polynomial degree estimation of a function. Also, our interest is focused, on the polynomial description by the Bezier curves, where the set of parameters are reduced to an ensemble of control points Examples, containing applications of the proposed methods, are also presented.
